Out with the Old?
December 26, 2009
It’s about that time of the year, yes, we’re nearing the end of one, seeing the beginning of a new one soon, that time when people start saying that they’re gonna be leaving some people behind, cutting them off, deleting them from their phonebooks, friends lists, changing their numbers, yes, people go to extreme measures to get rid of the apprently useless people that remain in their lives. What I don’t understand is why they must wait for the new year to do this? If they’re so crrrrrap, then why don’t people get rid of them then and there?! Why is a new year supposedly the perfect opportunity to do so? Fresh start schmart! If a situation has arised for you to think that the person is no longer of any use to you, why don’t you just dump they ass?!
I’ve seen it with my own eyes! People will make a statement like “Certain people are gettin’ cut off in 20?? boi lol”, then a couple months later, nothing’s changed, they still talk to the same people, they’ve left no-one behind – it’s just pointless!
Just don’t mention it at all. It just defies the whole point of doing it! You wanna cut people off but you’re telling eeeeeeeeeeeeveryone you know, that you’re gonna cut people off -…what?
IIIII dunnooo. I just don’t see the need to start a new year with less “friends” to mark a fresh start or whatever. You can never predict what will happen once the new year starts anyway…

He’s gonna live forever…!
December 12, 2009
I never started my blog soon enough to post a tribute to Michael Jackson so that being said…
My friend Rita (http://reetaadee.wordpress.com/) and I met up in one day in the summer (a few days after it’d happened) and we passed this wall commemorating MJ’s death so we left our mark on it…
“I was a veteran, before I was a teenager.”
-Michael Jackson
“In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.” -Michael Jackson
Ending of the video’s a bit dramatic but I LOVE THE SONG! 50 Cent is fast becoming a favourited rapper of mine!
Music has lost its meaning!
December 10, 2009
Music an artistic form of auditory communication incorporating instrumental or vocal tones in a structured and continuous manner
Instrumental relating to or designed for or performed on musical instruments
I’m finding it hard to put what I want to say in words, but from the above definitions, you can kind of see where I’m going with this. I miss being exposed to the melodies of the 90s and the funky guitar in what’s now known as old skool music. Now “music” is just ridiculous. What people class as R&B or “urban” now is just pathetic. It’s not even categorized by the sound of the music, but (without being explict, ahem) the type of people that make the music! -.- It doesn’t make sense.
When you flick through the music channels, and you come across “The R&B/Hip Hop Charts” or whatever and you see Black Eyed Peas on it now, it’s just like…”What?” If you gave me your definition of R&B and/or hip hop then listen to Meet Me Halfway, would you really include that as an example? The ones that say “Yes” to this are just idiots, but then again they can’t be blamed for the media’s ignorance. I’m not criticizing such music, and that was just an example, but on the whole, the assumptions about genres of music is just senseless!
Then there’s other types of “music” where everything just seems automated. I’m all for the T-Pain autotune thing so long as there’s an actual melody and the lyrics have meaning. But from when I can’t even sing the melody because well, there simply isn’t one! Then, there is a problem. All songs nowadays are just about being catchy, having a good hook or having a beat you can jump around to. People used to be able to dance to it, you know, an artistic form of nonverbal communication…does jumping around and singing shouting the lyrics words come under this?
Everybody went through that funky house phase. Some people still haven’t escaped that tunnel. I’m just over it now. I think some of it is okay, the mainstream, authentic, funky house. But not the stuff that’s been diluted with grime. It’s those stupid people, who know that they won’t ever make it in the industry just spittin’ nonsense that find fame from “writing” a funky tune or making up a dance to a beat. I mean, we’re just as stupid for being sucked in by it. But if I had to use my own disposable money to buy it in order to listen – they would get nothing from me!
They’re all fakes I tell you! If they were really that talented and loved their, dare I say it, “craft”, then they would have stuck to it, regardless of whether they’d be successful or not! (Right place, right time, luck and all that aside). I’m all for makin’ money (in this case it’s not necessarily always well earnt money, merely “made”) but that’s not even really the main thing that you get out of it. People (that live in London, and if you’re lucky, in other areas of England) know your face, and that’s it, just a short period of fame, and you’ll be forgotten by tomorrow. You make your mark, but you don’t leave one.
(Sigh) I’ve said enough, if not more than enough. I just wonder what the future holds for music.
This is the kind of stuff I personally love/like/miss…
I wanted to get an old Usher song on here too, but none of them enabled embedding! -.-
A visual answer to where I will be in the years to come…

Forgotten Memory
December 9, 2009
Let’s speak literally
-big headed
Yet full of forgotten memories
Now speaking figuratively
…big headed.
Ergo easy to be forgetful
No
This does not make
The memory become that of a gold fish
It simply does not remember me.
Not because I am forgettable
But because it hurts to commit to-
Memory
Understandable.
Somewhat flattering
Alas
Forgotten memories
What was once chaos
Is now merely confusion
Let’s forget being literal
Let’s not speak figuratively
Now let’s be brutally
Honest
Memories of us
For you
Were only physical
Body language
Still
Communication was what was missing
What remains?
I am forgotten.
